Meliá Genova (formerly Bentley Hotel)
A five-star hotel in Genoa's Carignano district, a short distance from the historic centre, occupying a striking 1929 building with an unusual industrial history.
The Meliá Genova occupies a building dating to 1929, designed by the Genoese architect Giuseppe Crosa di Vergagni. The building originally served as the headquarters of the steelmaker Ilva, before later being converted for hospitality use and operated for some years as the Bentley Hotel. It was subsequently taken over by the Spanish hospitality group Meliá Hotels International and rebranded under the Meliá Genova name.
The hotel has 104 rooms and stands in the Carignano district, within walking distance of the Teatro Carlo Felice opera house and the Genoa Aquarium on the historic waterfront. On-site facilities include the YHI Wellness & Fitness spa, with a pool, jacuzzi and steam bath, and the Blue Lounge & Restaurant.
