NH Collection Genova Marina
A 4-star, 140-room hotel built out over the water on stilt-like pillars in Genoa's Porto Antico, right beside the Aquarium and the historic centre.
The NH Collection Genova Marina was built as part of the Porto Antico redevelopment, the masterplan for Genoa's old harbour drawn up by architect Renzo Piano. Its most distinctive feature is its setting: the hotel stands on stilt-like pillars directly over the water, next to the Neptune, a replica 17th-century galleon that has become a permanent fixture of the harbour and a popular attraction in its own right.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Genoa Aquarium and the city's historic centre, making it a convenient base for exploring the same landmarks covered in our landmarks guide and Genoa travel guide. Its restaurant, Il Gozzo, serves Ligurian cuisine.
Today the hotel is operated under NH Hotel Group's upscale "NH Collection" brand, part of the Minor Hotels group.
